Worked with VPN + WebRTC Blocking + HTML5 Geo blocking etc (Not sure if that matters but im a rookie when it comes to this.įirst cookie file did not work at all and for some reason my command line was like this when it worked, with 2 factor login enabled.I was logged in having the video right in front me of me if that matters idk. I used the plugin for chrome called Get cookies.txt and exported the txt file and since i had first age restrictions and after that HTTP errors not using both cookie and login i used both now and app password. Youtube-dl -u 'YoutubeLOGIN' -p 'App password' -cookie "_cookies.txt" 'YOUTUBE URL LINK' Managed to get it to work with newest youtube-dl today with this commands below using -u -p -cookie "cookie.txt" 'youtubelink' in that order. After installation, the application adds support for freetube:// type links - if you prefix the entire Youtube video link with freetube://, it will open in the application. You can also use the FreeTube application, that can use Invidious servers internally. The main server of the Invidious network can be accessed by replacing by yewtu.be in the video URL. All other methods seem to not work anymore.

Update: currently the only way to view age-restricted videos seems to be via using the Invidious network. Myself I don't see the need to use youtube-dl at all when sites like this are available. Instead of ?watch=id go to for example ?watch=id (you can download simply by right-clicking on the video), ?watch=id or ?watch=id (with these two, download links are directly on the page). However, there are multiple websites that allow you to view and download such videos without logging in. You don't need to download every single video you come across on Youtube simply because you can easily download them but there are some videos you might love to watch over and over again, it could be those comedy shows or educational videos.Looks like youtube-dl doesn't support the latest Youtube changes in age restrictions. Pardon me to explain why it might be necessary to download Youtube videos instead of watching them directly using your phone, Laptops or Tablet. There are more new tricks on how you can download any video from Youtube easily and that's what am going to share with you today. However, downloading videos from Youtube using SS prefix is kind of old news to some gurus who have been using the method for a long time. This method doesn't require any app or software download, you only need to play with the Youtube video URL (video web address) and the download starts immediately. I am going to teach you how to download Youtube videos using the SS method. I have good news for you, no need to look for all sorts of Youtube downloaders or browser extensions that end up doing another thing on your devices. Are you still struggling to download some interesting videos from YouTube or not yet sure how you can easily download any video using your smartphone or computer from YouTube?.
